The Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in the November 26th Governorship election in Ondo state,  Eyitayo Jegede (SAN) has flagged off his campaign with a promise to bring more development to the state.

Despite the legal tussle trailing  his candidature, Jegede flagged off his campaign amidst pomp and ceremony.

It was a well attended event, as supporters of the party thronged the Democracy Park in the heart of Akure, the state capital, to witness the epoch making event.

Governor Olusegun Mimiko urged people of the state to cast their votes for the PDP candidate.

Mimiko saID Jegede has what it takes to move the state to another level.

Some leaders of the party at the national and state levels affirmed that Jegede remains the candidate of the party.

For Eyitayo Jegede, he is in the race to consolidate on the achievements recorded by the current government in the state.

He said his administration would create jobs for the teeming unemployed youths in the state.

Although a case is still pending on his candidature, Jegede  appears optimistic and says he is the recognised candidate of the party for the November 26th Governorship poll.
