Residents of Imo State are groaning over the sudden increase in the price of Premium Motor Spirit across the state.

Fuel now sells for between one hundred and fifty, to two hundred naira per litre in Owerri.

The situation is made worse as major filling stations visited by TVC NEWS crew were under lock and key.

Only few were opened for business as black marketers have also taken advantage of the situation.

The Chairman, Petroleum Marketers Association in Owerri, Christopher Amadi said the hike is inevitable due to scarcity of fuel at the depot in the South East.
