Popular Nigerian reggae singer-songwriter and guitarist, Majek Fashek has declared himself “Prophet Elijah’ of recent times.
Speaking on TVC’s Entertainment show, #EntSplash, Majek said his music is spirit filled and each message passed through his music is as a result of inspiration from above.
“I am prophet Elijah of this time and I use my music to touche lives. I’m a christian and God has kept me so far.”
Diverting from his music, Majek also condemned the Nigerian government and how they treat citizens. He said;
“My son is an american citizen. The american government takes good care of their citizens unlike the Nigerian government. Nigerian government must wake up or I will become the president!”
“Children are suffering in Nigeria. If I become president I will make sure the children have free education.”
When asked if he would run for presidency, he said; “Nigerian politicians too they kill!” *Laughing*
Speaking more on his music career, Majek says that Nigerian music is doing well and he plans on opening a record label to help upcoming stars.
“I’m launching a new album ’30 years on stage’. I don’t want to be on stage all my life. Very soon, I will be opening a record label to help upcoming artist.”
