On #WakeUpNigeria this beautiful morning was the sumptuous and delicious breakfast, ‘Jollof Rice Jambalaya’.

Ex BBN contestant, Chef Miyonse not only taught us how to make the meal but explained the procedure and highlighted the ingredients for making the ‘Jollof Rice Jambalaya’.

Ingredients

  1. Basmati rice
  2. Chicken fillet
  3. Sausage
  4. Shrimps
  5. Onions
  6. Tomatoes
  7. Sweet corn
  8. Seasoning cube.

Preparation

Chop your peppers, onion and sausage neatly.

Heat your vegetable oil for about three minutes, add blended tomatoes and pepper mix  to the oil.

Allow to simmer for about two minutes before adding the Italian seasoning, adobo (a Spanish seasoning) in place of seasoning cubes , garlic.

Fry the tomatoes paste till it is cooked and looks a bit dry.

Add your stock, chopped chicken breast, Habanero (atarodo), sausages and a little water. Allow to boil.

Next, add your basmati rice, sweet corn, lower the heat and allow to cook.

Miyonse went on to explain that shrimps should be added 7 mins before the rice is cooked.

With these, your Jollof Rice Jambalaya is ready to eat.
