Oyo to honour late Olubadan with state burial

TVC E, NEWS - The Oyo State Government has vowed to honor the late Olubadan of Ibadan Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade, with an all expense paid state burial in February. Governor Abiola Ajimobi disclosed this to TVC news at the residence of the late monarch in Ibadan. Ajimobi added that the central government would not be left out of its plans to offer a befitting burial to the late monarch. Menwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the people of Ibadan and the government of Oyo State on the death of the Oba Odulana. Angry youths protest against murder of Obi of Ubulu-Uku

TVC E, NEWS - It was like a joke when the news of the death of , Agbogidi Akaeze Edward Ofulue 111, the Obi of Ubulu-Uku in the hands of hoodlums that kidnapped him a few days ago first broke. But sooner than later, what sounded like a fairy tale became a reality when  the spokesperson of the Delta State Police command, Celestina Kalu confirmed it. Thousands of machete and stick wielding youths took to the streets of the town to protest against the gruesome murder of the monarch on Friday. Lagos state records first death from Lassa Fever

TVC E, NEWS - Barely one week after the first case of Lassa Fever was recorded in Lagos; one of the 15 confirmed cases in the state has died. The health commissioner, Dr. Jide Idris who confirmed the death said out of the fifteen suspected cases of Lassa in Lagos, three were confirmed positive until the first death. In his own reaction, Commissioner for the Environment, Mr.Samuel Adejare emphasized the state government’s campaign that residents should embrace hygienic practices in their homes, offices and public places in order to put the deadly disease at bay. The first Lassa Fever case was recorded at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba after a 25-old student of Ahmadu Bello University who reportedly traveled down to Lagos was admitted in a private hospital in an area called Ahmadiyya in Ojokoro. EITI endorses Buhari’s anti-graft war

TVC E The board of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) has endorsed the ongoing anti-corruption campaign of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
