TVC E. Naira recovers against the dollar in the parallel market  The naira has resumed its recovery against the dollar in the black market after suffering a setback.   There are strong indications that the efforts of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to stabilise the naira may have started yielding the expected results according to the Leadership. A CBN official last week noted that the deployment of a number measures by the bank may have turned the tide in the foreign exchange (FOREX) market and led to the severe punishment suffered by currency hoarders and speculators. The CBN had earlier insisted that speculators were behind the market bubble since the upper week which dealt negatively on the naira, sending it down to an all-time low of almost N400 to the dollar. Emir of Kano orders release of Ese abducted teenager

Instant messaging application WhatsApp, plans to discontinue support for its service on older smartphone systems such as BlackBerry and Nokia. EFCC failed to establish my guilt – Metuh

TVC E, POLITICS - Embattled spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Olisa Metuh has faulted his trial  by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Metuh, who is charged with criminal breach of trust, corruption and money laundering claims the EFCC has failed to establish his guilt. Metuh argued that for the prosecution to establish a prima facie case, it must be shown that he took possession or control of funds, knowing that such funds formed part of the proceeds of an unlawful act or reasonably ought to have known that such funds formed part of the proceeds of an unlawful act. The PDP scribe allegedly received N400 million from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA)and making cash transaction of $2 million. “The Village Headmaster” Actor, Jab Adu Passes On

Veteran actor, producer and  former banker, Joseph Abiodun Babatunde Adu popularly known as Jab Adu, has passed on at the age of 83.   He is reported to have died on yesterday Sunday, February 28, 2016 in Abeokuta and a member of his family confirmed his death.   Jab Adu was a devotee of Grail Message Movement.   Jab is widely remembered for his portrayal of Bassey Okon in the classic TV drama, The Village Headmaster.   He also produced Adio’s Family and Bisi, Daughter of the River.   When all is said and done, Jab Adu is the pioneer of the Nollywood. Terry-G involved in a ghastly car accident in Lekki

TVC E.  Nigerian singer Terry-G was today involved in a terrible car accident in Lekki Lagos. Report reaching us says, the ghastly accident happened between  6 to 6:30 am this morning when Terry-G was on his way back from a night club between the 1st and 2nd roundabout in Lekki. His Range Rover Sport veered off the road and landed in a gutter along with a white commercial bus. The source said Terry-G alongside other people in the vehicle were unhurt except the driver who was injured in the incident but the car was completely damaged.
