Lagos to enforce 2012 traffic law + 7 jailable offences

Under the law, there will be immediate prosecution of traffic offenders by a mobile court Offenders can be fined and or jailed for some number of months, depending on the type of offence. Alleged murder of husband – Magistrate remands female lawyer in prison

The female lawyer –Yewande Oyediran who allegedly murdered her husband in cold blood in ibadan is currently being detained at the state CID Iyaganu, Ibadan. It was reported that there was commotion at the court premises on Friday the 5th, 2016 as the family members of the couple confronted one another with abusive words and songs. Mr. Kehinde Durosaro–Tijani who is the Presiding Chief Magistrate adjourned the case to February the 16th 2016 for mention and ordered that the accused be remanded in Agodi Prison till the said date. Boko Haram technically defeated, Buhari insists

Zimbabwe banks lifted from U.S. sanctions list

Nicole Finnemann, Deputy Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Harare told Xinhua Friday the removal of Agricultural Bank of Zimbabwe and the Infrastructure Development Bank of Zimbabwe from the sanctions list was consistent with the U.S. effort to support inclusive economic development and assist the people of Zimbabwe. "These banks provide services to underserved, disadvantaged populations in Zimbabwe and serve unique development functions and important economic roles in agricultural and infrastructure finance," Finnemann said. The U.S. also removed Ndlovu Motorways company and five Zimbabweans, most of them dead, on the sanctions list.
