Governor Wike Bans Okada In 4 LGA’s in Rivers State.

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State have banned commercial motorcyclist commonly known as okada from operating in four local governments of the state. The affected local governments include; Abua/Odual, Ahoada East, Ahoada West and Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni (ONELGA). The media aide to the governor, Simeon Nwakaudu announced on Sunday morning, Feb. the 14th 2016 saying Okada operators, “are prohibited from operating between 5pm and 8am daily in four local government areas of the state for security reasons. Wike said the order for the ban came as a result of the recent killings and cult-related violence in the state. Strike and lose your salaries – Fayose tells workers

The Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has warned the government workers in the state that they should be ready to lose their salaries if they embark on strike without following due process. He gave the warning yesterday Saturday the 13th 2016 while appearing on his monthly media chart, Meet Your Governor. Ngige yet to withdraw from Anambra re-run – INEC

TVC E, POLITICS - The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is insisting that the minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige has not withdrawn from the Anambra central senatorial race re-run. Dr. Ngige was the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the March 2015 election. He was appointed minister by President Muhammadu Buhari following the victory of the party in last year’s polls. The new Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of the commission, Dr. Lawrence Azubike, said at a meeting in Awka with political parties and stakeholders in the state that the commission was “not aware that anybody has withdrawn” from the rerun.  The state secretary of the APC Chukwuma Agupugo, had drawn the commission’s attention to a letter from Ngige about his withdrawal from the rerun.
