Ngige did not collapse – Chief Press Secretary

TVC E, NEWS - The Chief Press Secretary to the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige has dismissed reports that his principal collapsed on Thursday. He confirmed to TVC News that the Minister, Permanent Secretary and other top officials of the ministry have been in The Gambia since Tuesday. Army destroys Boko Haram camp near Sambisa

Troops have destroyed “all remaining Boko Haram camps and enclaves around Alagarno and Sambisa forests”. Army spokesman Col. NFF warns Oliseh, fires Babangida

The Nigeria Football Federation has issued what it described as a final warning to Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh. Oduah loses bid to stop bulletproof cars probe

Justice Okon Abang, who dismissed Oduah’s suit for want of jurisdiction, ordered her to pay a cost of N15,000 to the AGF. Oduah had filed the suit last year August, praying the court to restrain agencies of the Federal Government from questioning or prosecuting her over the purchase of two armoured BMW vehicles at a cost of N255m by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority under her watch as the Aviation minister in 2013. Naira slides further to 372 per dollar

TVC E, BUSINESS - The acute scarcity of dollar continued with naira closing at 372 against the United States currency at the parallel forex market. Forex dealers linked the persistent fall of the naira to panic buying of the dollar and other major international currencies by importers, individuals and businessmen. With the naira exchanging at 372 to a dollar, the local currency has lost 20% of its value in the last ten days.     The local index dropped by 1.81 per cent to 24,070 points as investors took profits from previous gains on the stocks.
