N5,000 stipend to unemployed youths unnecessary – Okorocha

TVC E, POLITICS - Imo state governor, Owele Rochas Okorocha has backed President Muhammadu Buhari's decision to rule out payment of N5,000 monthly stipend to unemployed Nigerian youths. Addressing State House correspondents after a private meeting with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Okorocha said paying the allowance may push the youths to indulge in romantic relationships of multiple women and alcohol abuse. Okorocha noted that the allowance would have been a good idea, but insists there are better ways to better these young people's lives than giving them cash. Peterside blames Wike for outbreak of violence in Rivers

TVC E, POLITICS - The All Progressive Congress (APC) flag bearer in the Rivers state governorship election, Dakuku Peterside, has blamed Governor Nyesom Wike for the increase in the outbreak of violence in the state.
