Police nabs notorious car snatchers in Edo

Five persons suspected to be notorious car snatchers within Benin City and environs have been arrested by men of the Edo State Police Command. The suspects, Alao Samson, Christopher Obanugo, Okwuchukwu Ntagu, Dickson Ogiemwonyi and a spray painter, Godwin Atanu were arrested on March 8, after they snatched five cars from different individuals. Police said a Lexus RX 300 was sold by the gang for N120, 000 and a new Lexus jeep for N500, 000. Two of the recently stolen cars, a Ford Focus and Toyota Matrix were sprayed to another colour. Samson, w‎ho hails from Osun State said he usually disguised as a mechanic and whenever he was called to fix a vehicle, he would made away with the cars after the owner submitted their car keys....

50 Cent announces he’s quitting Instagram

50 Cent had a bumpy 2015, and the beginning of his 2016 isn’t looking so smooth either. After filing for bankruptcy, a judge then questioned the validity of his financial woes when the rapper, real name Curtis Jackson, posted a photo of himself sitting next to stacks of money. He then told the  court that the money was fake and a lot of his luxury cars were rented. Yet despite reaching an agreement with creditors, which will allow him to pay back only 3/4 of his debt, the rapper took to Instagram early Friday morning, March 11 to post several photos ranting about being treated differently in the courts due to his celebrity status....

Femi Adebayo, Tamilore Ojo Martins on the movie set of “Vengeance”

Femi Adebayo and Niyi Johnson will be featuring in Tamilore Ojo Martins’ new film “Vengeance”. The film was shot in the city of Ibadan in Oyo State in late January. “Vengeance” was directed by Wale Razaq and written by Opeyemi Adedayo. Ojo Martins produced it. It’s yet to be revealed when the film is making its debut. The upcoming Yoruba movie will also star Toyosi Adesanya, Mariam Akande, Bose Akinola, Oyinkan Elebuibon, Taiwo Ibikunle, Wale Jimoh, Tayo Ogunshakin and Jomiloju Olunbe. “Vengeance” follows the story of a couple who past creeps up on them as they try to move forward with their lives. This is not the first time Adebayo has featured in Ojo Martins’ movie. He played a lead role in her latest movie “Oku Aye” directed by Femi Phillips and Adebayo Tijani. The film was released on February 15, 2016....
