Poverty or Curse? Man arrested for stealing baby formula

Wonders they say shall never end, a 28-year old Nurudeen Sulaimon has been arrested by the men of the Nigeria Police, Igando division in Lagos, for stealing baby formula from a supermarket. Sulaimon, was said to have been involved in a confrontation with his wife, who was angry at him for his inability to provide formula for their new baby. This was what motivated him to engage in the act. The worth of the formula he stole is estimated to be around N45,000. Sulaimon successfully packed the items, but was arrested before leaving the store as he was being watched from a CCTV camera. At the police station, he begged for forgiveness of his crime, stating that he was pushed to stealing due to poverty. Notorious Ilorin cultist beaten to death by angry Mob

A middle-aged man alleged to be a notorious cultist has met an awful end after he was beaten to a pulp by an angry crowd in Ilorin. According to report, the accused popularly known as Kunle Poly, died at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH), after the police rescued him from being burnt alive and rushed to the medical facility. Four foreigners sentenced for gang rape in Finland

The Helsinki District Court has sentenced four foreigners to various terms of  unconditional imprisonment for serious sex crime. According to local reports, three of the men were sentenced to four years imprisonment each, and the fourth to two years. The report added that the court found them guilty of aggravated rape with brutal violence against the victim. A 27-year old lady has been arrested by the Domestic Violence Unit of the Festac Police Station in Lagos for allegedly planning to kill her Indian lover. The accused, simply identified as Sandra was is currently under investigation after she hired someone to assassinate her 23 year old Indian lover, Jagan. According to Jagan, Sandra allegedly “threatened to deal with him" after he broke up with her. She then hired an assassin who drove into him with a motorbike and almost killed him if not for what he described as "divine intervention". Siasia returns to Nigerian Olympic team

Coach Samson Siasia will resume with the Nigeria Olympic team on Monday in Abuja, after taking temporary charge of the Super Eagles for the AFCON qualifiers against Egypt. The Olympic team with assistant coach Fatai Amoo in temporary charge, stunned hosts Brazil in a Rio Olympics warm-up last week.
