  I have never met anyone that doesn't like coconut, so this has led my to share my recipe on how to make coconut rice. Yummy! Dalung blames journalists for NFF crisis

Nigeria's sports minister, Solomon Dalung, has blamed the crisis in Nigerian football on corrupt journalists whom he said collect bribes from the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation NFF. The minister also watched while his aides physically shoved journalists who demanded an apology from the minister for his comment at the NFF extra ordinary congress held in Abuja on Wednesday. The Sports Minister took a swipe on all stakeholders in Nigerian football and singled out journalists as being responsible for the crisis. Meanwhile, Dalung said he was yet to receive any court order nullifying Amaju Pinnick's NFF presidency....

Port Harcourt refinery has been restarted – NNPC

Nigeria has restarted the Port Harcourt refinery. Spokesman of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Garba Deen Muhammad says the company which has a capacity of 210,000 barrels a day, begins operation to end fuel shortages. Though not in full capacity, he says production will be between three and five million litres daily. Dollar shortages and the shutdown of its refineries have for weeks left motorists queuing for petrol across the country. NNPC said it is also planning to restart its 110,000-barrel-per-day refinery, in the northern city of Kaduna by mid-April....

AMAA 2016 to hold in Port Harcourt

The prestigious pan-African reward system for motion picture practitioners, African Movie Academy Awards will now be held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State instead of Lagos state. Abuja LG elections : FCT Senator accuses APC of malpractices

A Senator representing the Federal Capital Territory, Philip Aduda, accused top leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, of being involved in acts of rigging in the Wednesday rerun elections into the Abuja Municipal Area Council and other local government elections in FCT. Senator Aduda at a press briefing in Abuja also accused senior leaders in government of interfering with the electoral process in the FCT polls through the sponsoring of thugs to perpetuate violence and ballot box snatching He says he has evidence of the involvement of soldiers too. House of Reps. to re-examine controversial 2016 budget

Nigeria's House of Representatives has agreed to take a second look at the controversial 2016 budget with a view to resolving areas of disagreement. And arising from the fall out of alleged tucking in of more than N4bn into the budget, the House has now barred its Appropriation Committee Chairman, Abdulmumin Jubrin from talking to the press. Many Nigerians expected the controversy trailing the 2016 budget to top the lower chamber's agenda on Tuesday, upon its resumption from the Easter break but it chose to keep mute on the matter Instead, the legislators chose Wednesday,the day after, to address the uneasy quiet among members over the 2016 budget.
