Radio Continental (RC) through its children programme hosted by Tosin Ajayi, Box of Goodies, will be hosting 10 kids to a fun-filled Children’s day event tagged, #HangoutWithDearTosin on Friday, May 27th, 2016. The selected kids are: Maimunat Omirinde, Micheal Monyei, Iteoluwakiisi Oremade, Sharon Umeh, Emmanuel Aliyu, Daniel Ajibola, Favour Ipuole, Praise Imasidon, Victor Isadare and Victor Nwachukwu. Box of Goodies is a Radio Continental programme for children between the ages of 5 to 10. Nollywood Actor-Antar Laniyan marks his birthday today

TVC E. Antar Laniyan was born in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State into a royal family. Antar  attended Baptist secondary school in Lagos before proceeding to the University of Ibadan where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts. The Nollywood actor started his movie career in 1981.His first major role as a professional  was the role of a ‘Major General’ in a film titled Everybody Want to Know. Antar has featured in several Nigerian films including Sango, a film scripted by Wale Ogunyemi and produced by Obafemi Lasode.He has also directed some movies. He was the director of the first episode of Super Story, the award-winning Nigerian soap opera produced by Wale Adenuga in the year 2000. 40 Nigerians deported again from the United Kingdom and Australia

TVC E. For the second time this year more Nigerians have been deported back to the country for flouting immigration rules. It would be recalled that 172 Nigerian were deported from Libya on March 10, 2016  while UK in November last year deported 48persons. 40 new Nigerians have reportedly been deported from the United Kingdom and Australia for alleged immigration related offenses. On Wednesday, May the 25th, 2016, deportees comprising 33 males and 7 females arrived Nigeria at the hajj camp area of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport by chartered aircraft with registration number ZTA -474 while Air Seychelles with registration number SND at 7:25am. According to a source at the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), the Nigerians were deported for either overstaying their visas or committing other immigration offenses. Mike Tyson brands AIBA’s decision as ”ridiculous and foolish”

Former world heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson, who as an amateur won gold at the 1981 and 1982 Junior Olympic Games has branded the Amateur International Boxing Association's (AIBA) decision to let professional fighters take part in the 2016 Rio Olympics as "ridiculous" and "foolish". Tyson on Wednesday May the 25th,2016 said that professional boxers would be stunned by the fast-paced fighting style of the amateur fighters. Earlier this year, the AIBA said Professional boxers would feature at the Olympic games as long as a constitutional change went through in June.
