Lai Mohammed releases interim report on recoveries made from stolen money

TVC E. Nigeria’s Information Minister, Lai Mohammed, has released an interim report about assets and funds recovered from the nation’s treasury looters. According to him, the sum of N78.3bn, 185.1 million dollars and 3.5 million pounds and 11,000 Euros was recovered from 29 May 2015 to 25 May 2016. Gunmen kidnap ex-Deputy Speaker’s wife, daughter in Ogun

Report reaching us says, Gunmen have abducted the Director of Information in Odogbolu Local Government Council of Ogun state, Mrs Nofisat Oshin, and her daughter, Miss Afolabi Oshin. They were whisked away to an unknown destination at gun – point. Nofisat and Afolabi are the wife and daughter of the former Deputy Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly (OGHA), Dr Tokunboh Oshin. EFCC arraigns serving Army Chief, ex NIMASA boss, others for N8.5bn fraud

The EFCC today, June 3rd arraigned a serving military officer, Major General Emmanuel Atewe, the former Director General of NIMASA Patrick Ziadeke Akpobolokemi, Kime Engozu and Josphine Otuaga before Justice Saliu Saidu of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi on an 11 count charge bordering on conspiracy, abuse of office and money laundering. Major General Atewe, currently serving in TRADOC Minna as Director of Doctrinal and Combat Development, was also a former Guard Brigade Commander at the Presidency as well as Joint Task Force Commander Pulo Shield Port Harcourt.
