Bale demands star status at Real Madrid
Gareth Bale has speculated that he may not be at Los Blancos by the time the new season starts, unless he is given star billing.
Bale who stunned in the club’s triumph Kiev after he was introduced into the game at the 61st minute.
Bale scored only two minutes after coming in. His goal goes into the list of the greatest all-time goals in a Champions League final and put Madrid, with their 13th triumph of the league.
He’s valued 100 million euros in the current market, though he’s very much been an afterthought for Zinedine Zidane over the course of the campaign.
Bale who made it known that he won’t tolerate not being first choice, said after the match on Saturday night;
“I need to be playing week in, week out,” he explained in an interview with BT Sport.
“This hasn’t happened this season.
“I have to sit down with my agent in the summer and discuss the situation.”
Zidane’s treatment of Bale has been something which has troubled the forward. His agent, Jonathan Barnett, is aware of his client’s unhappiness and will meet with the club’s hierarchy in the coming days to figure out a way to move forward.
