Media personality, Bolanle Olukanni, recounts her experience with stretchmarks
Stretchmarks make a lot of persons feel very conscious of their body. It make people feel ugly and imperfect. However, Media Personality, Bolanle Olukanni has something to say about it.
In a post she shared on her Instagram page, she wrote about how she felt insecure about her own stretchmarks in her teenage and early adult life and how she has been able to overcome them. She wrote;
”I first got stretch marks on my shoulders when I had my first Growth spurt . I was probably 12. All my friends would wear tank tops and spaghetti tops and I felt like I had to cover my shoulders. It affected my confidence during my teenage years and I spent my early early adulthood hiding my shoulders. Well , I finally got over it and I realized it’s not a big deal .
