‘Those making clean money are not complaining’ – Between Buhari’s aide and Omotola
Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde in war of words with presidential aide, after she described Nigeria as ‘hellish’ under President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
In a post on her twitter page on Monday, 15th of April, 2019, described Nigerians quality of life under Buhari’s leadership as nothing far from hell.
She wrote, “The Country Under your watch is Hellish! @ProfOsinbajo @MBuhari @NGRPresident.”
She also charged Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Mr Buhari to act fast.
“The lack of Money in circulation, now coupled with the continuous Assault and killings by uniformed men. Will make this Country implode!!! It’s Unbearable!
“Do something! Insecurity! Fear and Desperation everywhere.”
Reacting to her post, President Buhari’s personal assistant on new media, Bashir Ahmad, stated that those who are making money legitimately have no complaints about the current state of Nigeria.
He wrote, “Madam Omotola those who are working for CLEAN money are not complaining and will never refer our dear country as ‘hellish’.
“In Kano State alone, from 2015 to 2018, no fewer than 200 medium and small scale rice milling centres emerged. For that, billions circulated among millions.”
In the same vein, Omotola responded;
“As long as you’re not insinuating that I am not working CLEAN for my money… I hear from you. It’s good that there is some progress… Do you truly want to say you don’t see all that’s really wrong? Can we fight for our future in truth for once? Without being partisan?”
