Durodola eyes WBC World Cruiserweight title

TVCE (SPORT) - Nigerian born boxer Olanrewaju “Gods Power” Durodola has expressed his determination to clinch the WBC Cruiserweight title later in the year and show to the world the giant steps boxing has grown in the country. Speaking to SportingLife, Olanrewaju said he is aware that Nigerians are anxiously waiting for a world title in boxing since Samuel Peters last won one in 2008 in the heavyweight division. He said: “I know boxing fans in Nigeria are anxious because none of our professional boxers yet to win a world boxing title in any weight class since Samuel Peters won the heavyweight title in March, 2008, and this spurns me on to be the best in my weight class. “This is my target for the year and I know I am going to deliver to the nation the cruiserweight title.
