Update: Body of second Benue State University student has been recovered

The body of the second 100 Level student, Emmanuella Mson, who drowned in River Benue, has been recovered from a river in Nasarawa. The body was placed at the bank of river Benue from where it was later moved to the Benue State University Teaching Hospital. Mson, only child of her parents and a student of College and Health Science and Kole Christopher, also a100 Level Computer Science student, drowned while swimming inside River Benue on Friday evening at 6pm. It was gathered that they had gone swimming alongside three others after playing football by the riverside behind the school when the incident happened. Truck kills student shortly after she paid her school fees in a bank

A student at the Faculty of Science, University of Ibadan, Balkis Adeniyi, lost her life in an accident that occurred on Mokola-Oyo Road in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Friday. Eyewitnesses said that there two other persons were also seriously injured as a tricycle popularly called Keke Napep, rammed into a waste disposal truck at Leventis area of Sango in the metropolis. The accident happened around 9:30am while the student was returning from a bank where she had gone to pay her school fees. Quintuplet Mom Dies Days After Losing Two Of Her Babies

A 28-year-old woman who gave birth to a set of quintuplets last month died on Sunday. Two of her babies, both boys, died last week while under special care at the hospital. The woman identified as Evaline Namukhula gave birth to the five babies in Kakamega area of Kenya. Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) chief executive Wilson Aruasa, said Ms Namukhula complained of chest pains and persistent headache on Saturday night and doctors put her on antibiotics and conducted a blood clot test. According to Dr Aruasa,  the MTRH boss said she suffered from pulmonary embolism, a blood clot, which blocked blood vessels in her lungs. Family in panic as kidnappers refuse to release Taraba businessman

The family of an abducted Takum-based businessman, Alhaji Usman Mayo, has shown concern over refusal of his abductors to release him after paying a 100 million naira as ransom. The spokesperson of the business man, Mallam Ibrahim Takum, told Daily Trust on Sunday, that Alhaji Mayo was abducted about 40 days ago in Takum and that the abductors demanded N100million which was paid. However, they did not release him but demanded for an additional 100 million naira He said after series of negotiations on the additional N100 million ransom, the abductors ceased communication.
