Kebbi APC suspends federal lawmaker

TVC E, POLITICS - The Kebbi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended a member of the House of Assembly, Hon. Sani Idris  Umar from Zuru Constituency. Umar was suspended for alleged insubordination and disrespect to Deputy Governor Samaila Yombe, according  Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Sani Dododo. Dododo, a member of the APC Central Working Committee told reporters in Birnin Kebbi that the suspension was based on a report of the Zuru Local Government Executive Committee. “The party will not condone indiscipline and disrespect to leaders and duly constituted authority,” Dododo said. The Publicity Secretary said the suspension would enable the CWC to investigate the allegations against the lawmaker. However, Umar said the allegations were false and unfounded.
