Nollywood actress Kemi Afolabi says Yoruba movies are richer is culture when compared to the other genres in the industry. Kemi who spoke in an interview with The Nation, says Yoruba scripts trumps those of the other genres, hence there was no basis for comparison. "You cannot compare a Yoruba script with others. It is rich in culture; I‘ve been on the other side, I’ve done a couple of productions but I feel these people are not staying true to their culture." she said. Talented actress, Kemi Afolabi, is ready to navigate uncharted ways with her forthcoming movie, ‘M’odorisa.’The historical movie will feature 1,000 all-female cast made up mostly of upcoming actresses, and some major faces. According to Afolabi, ‘M’odorisa’ is a film about Yoruba cultural heritage which encourages people to stay true to their roots. In her words, '‘In recent times, we’ve seen that the young generation aren’t really in sync with their culture, as many of them don’t speak their indigenous languages.
