Ogun State police arrests child kidnappers and recovers three missing children

Three members of an ill famed child theft gang have been arrested by Ogun State Police command. Their alleged leader is a woman who is currently serving her time in an Ondo prison for another case of child theft. A statement released by the police command spokes person, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, says the syndicate's mode of operation was to carry out a surveillance of areas where their age-target of children were concentrated, following which, two members of the syndicate, a man and a woman, would pretend as a married couple in search of an apartment. Nobody would ever suspect them to be kidnappers. They would deceive the unsuspecting members of the society and then kidnap these children successfully. Family in panic as kidnappers refuse to release Taraba businessman

The family of an abducted Takum-based businessman, Alhaji Usman Mayo, has shown concern over refusal of his abductors to release him after paying a 100 million naira as ransom. The spokesperson of the business man, Mallam Ibrahim Takum, told Daily Trust on Sunday, that Alhaji Mayo was abducted about 40 days ago in Takum and that the abductors demanded N100million which was paid. However, they did not release him but demanded for an additional 100 million naira He said after series of negotiations on the additional N100 million ransom, the abductors ceased communication. Ibrahim Takum said family and friends of the businessman are now confused and very worried since they cannot tell if he is alive or dead.
