Tribunal fails to commence pre-hearing on Kogi Gov. election petition

TVC E, POLITICS - The pre-hearing in the Kogi state governorship election petition expected to hold on Tuesday couldn't hold as scheduled. However, party supporters were in Abuja to witness the hearing of petitions challenging the emergence of Yahaya Bello as governor. Crowd of supporters, families and friends from kogi state converged on the tribunal in Abuja. The courtroom was filled to its capacity with more supporters milling around, many anxiously waiting to see how the day's proceeding, would turn out. The arrival of the three man panel, headed by Justice Halima Mohammed, set the pace for the day. But the pre hearing of the suits filed by James Faleke, the immediate past governor of the state, Idris Wada and four other political parties, could not heard because the six applications were not served before the day's proceedings.
