Sheriff-Makarfi leadership war: IGP Arase orders PDP headquarters to be shut down

Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase gave the directive on Friday, June 17 that the PDP headquarters should not be accessible to either of both men’s loyalists or any other party men alike. Makarfi and Sheriff, both two term former governors of Kaduna and Borno states respectively are at each other’s neck over the national chairmanship position of the PDP. As a result of the fallout from the leadership tussle between Makarfi and Sheriff, IGP Arase has given a one week ultimatum to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to resolve all its lingering crisis.
