Ondo APC threatens to boycott LG polls

TVC E, POLITICS - All appears set for the conduct of council polls in Ondo state,  seven years after Governor Olusegun Mimiko took over the reins of power. Although protracted legal battle was  responsible for the delay, the main opposition party in the state, the All Progressives Congress (APC) may boycott the election. But with the plan to compensate the council chairmen who served under former Governor Olusegun Agagu, the matter was settled out of court. This paved the way for the conduct of local government elections slated for April 23, by Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission (ODIEC). In spite of the threat by the APC to boycott the local government polls, other parties including the ruling People's Democratic Party have signified interest to participate in the elections. The last council election in the state was held in 2007....

APC is broke but we will not ask Buhari for help – John Oyegun

TVC NEWS : The National Chairman of APC, John Oyegun said at a press conference today  Jan. 25th in Abuja that, the party is broke but they will source for funds from its members and not from President Buhari. “The party  APC is suffering the strains of funding. Awori indigenes demand equal representation in Lagos LG polls

TVC E, POLITICS - As residents and politicians warm up for the next local government elections in Lagos state, some indigenes of the state within the All Progressives Congress have sent out a Save-Our-Souls message to the party leadership. Since December 2015, posters and banners bearing campaign messages have continued to appear in different parts of Lagos state, an indication that the government may soon announce a timeline for the next Local Government elections. Political parties, groups and associations within the state have also been putting their houses in proper order for the purpose of making favourable impacts at the polls. One of those groups is the Awori Indigenous Forum, an umbrella body for the natives of Awori-land across Lagos, and who are also members of the All Progressives Congress.
