Woman arraigned for pouring hot water on neighbour

TVCE [IKEJA] - A Lagos State Magistrates’ Court, Ikeja, on Thursday granted a N500,000 bail to Esther Williams, who allegedly poured hot water on her neighbour, Mabel Enwongomfon-Umoh, who is a nursing mother. It would be recalled that Williams had on Tuesday been arraigned on one count bordering on the offence, said to be contrary to and punishable under Section 243 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, Vol. 44, No. 2, 2011.  She was accused of unlawfully causing Enwongomfon-Umoh grievous bodily harm. A news medium (not TVC) had on Tuesday reported how Williams allegedly emptied a bucket of hot water on Enwongomfon-Umoh after they had a minor argument in their rented house on Thursday, December 24, 2015.
