Court sacks Ibinabo Fiberesima as AGN president

The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has ordered embattled actress Ibinabo Fiberesima to vacate her position as the president, Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN. Ibinabo is facing a 5 year prison term for accidentally killing Dr. Giwa Suraj in a car accident. The National Secretary of AGN, Femi Durojaiye, said Ibinabo will step down while Emeka Ike takes over as the new president. Durojaiye in a statement on Wednesday said: "The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, this morning 23/3/2016 at the application and argument of Counsel to Actors Guild of Nigeria, Barr. Peter Andor Oboyi, struck out Ibinabo’s and BOT suit challenging the nullification of her election to the Presidency of AGN and also challenging the legitimacy of the Presidency of Emeka Ike and his Exco.
